Holidays YEAH!

 I am not really doing anything. I hope I can hang with my friends. I am going to be doing Christmas things to like presents and family stuff. but that is all I am doing. Lol

Highlights for this year

 It is almost the end of the year and I am so excited and sad at the same time because I will get to be out of school and do stuff I like to do stuff with my friends without having to worry about tasks. Also sad because I will miss some of the year 8s.

Speeches are annoying

I am so glad that my speech is done. I also am really looking forward to seeing my results!!  My speech was about the Denver Broncos an American Football team which you guys would call Gridiron. Before the speech, I was really nervous, but I said to myself that I could do it. I think it went really well! Rm11 I hope you liked my speech . Also place some pointers in the comment box!

Spiderwick

The out line of the book is that there are kids that believe in magical beings. So one day they see a magical being and the being gives them a quest that goes on through out the book and then they find cool creatures. I know I am supposed to say something that I liked in the book but I did not like the book at all it was really boring , but I did have a favorite character her name was Mallory Evan Grace. She is there 13 year old sister. The reason is that I like Mallory Evan Grace is because she likes to be the leader of every thing and I like to be a leader.  

SPEECH

 So for my speech I am doing the Denver Broncos. I am nervous and not prepared. I am confident that I am going to do well. The aspects I am going to focus on is eye contact and hand jesters. 

Space

What I think is interesting is that Venus 's symbol is a female gender symbol. The Question I raised was how many more ears does the sun have to live??

My Holiday

This holidays I went to the trampoline park with Kelsey. We had a lot of fun and a lot of fun with flipping into the foam pit and doing tricks on the trampolines.

Amazing Production

My highlight was when Calvin was singing and then he mucked it up and when he was walking off he said "Dame it" when the microphone was still by his mouth. I don't think that they should have anyone say anything off stage because it did not work. Also I think that Jerry should have been a lot more funny. I enjoyed rooms sixes and tainted love also I though that the apron scenes were really good to. I think that the little kids did really well and I think that tainted love was the best. But that is my opinion. 

Random post

Is anyone else scared for the production? I am so I would like to know so I don't think that I am the only one.

Production!!!!!

I am looking forward to being able to be in the changing rooms and having a part in the production. my mom and dad are coming to see me on Wednesday and they are not coming the next night. I am going to be there on the dot ( I hope)

Election

I have learned lots like about the MPs and that you have to be 18 and over to run for parliament. Also I know that this is not on the task list but I am very interested in how people in the older days voted because I think there would not be computer generated that would help them count the scores.

Book Challenge

For my book challenge, I am making good progress. I have achieved every challenge but the actual reading 10 books and the space challenge  and the read 20 books. The good thing is that I can just use the 10 books I have already read to make up for half of the 20 books challenge. Also I  am aiming to achieve the rest of my challenges and maybe make a new one for me.

Netball

You should play Netball because it is a good sport and also it is a fun activate to do on Saturday. My first reason is that it will get you fit and it is fun. Also it is a great event to do with your friends. 
 That is why I think you should do netball.  

Production

My dancing is going well.I have got the moves down for the tainted love scene and I still need to learn the Rm 1 and 2's dance. My costumes are ready and when I say that mean I have my custom for the Rm 1 and 2 's dance  but I don't have the tainted love costume ready. My lines are good and I don't think I have any props I have to do.  I am definitely ready for the production!

 

MKTO

I think the song American dream is meaning full because when I came to NZ  and I thought I would be an adventure . I think the song  kind of has the tune that makes it feel like an adventure and that it makes me feel like I am on an big great adventure.

Branding

A couple of days ago I was in Nebraska and it was time to brand. Now you are  probably wandering what branding is.  It is when you are marking the calves as you own. Everyone was there at the time it was about to start. We got started and it was good until we had to move the calves into the barn.

It was hard to do because the calves were huge and they could kick very hard. After we all got them in there it was good. The next challenge was that we had to start branding. The first thing we had to do is get them down the shoot. Then after that when the calve had gone down the shoot they walked right into this machine were there was two metal bars, 1 went over the neck and 2 over its stomach and then once there were ready the table would go on its side so the calve is easy to work on. The rest of the day was the same until an hour in my aunt sandy came and we all stopped for donuts and coffee but the kids got hot chocolate. After the day was over I was sad that it was time to go home but it was a great experience.      

WEDDING

Today we went to my cousin Daniel's wedding. The first thing we did was we went to go see if anyone was there. We were the first ones there except for the wedding party and the bride and grooms parents.


After 30 minutes more people came. We saw the chairs for the wedding started to fill up so we went to go site down next to my cousin Liz (Elizabeth) and her family. The groomsmen came in on the Nebraska football team comes in on. It was funny. The brides maids music was very and wen I say sappy I mean sappy music. It felt like it went on for hours! the brides music was very cool. you know how when you are at a wedding or watching a movie that has a wedding scene in it when the organ plays well the music for the brides music was fast and cool. 

After the wedding was over, we all went to the reception. But, that my friend, is another story.    

California

 I went to America:  

I got to California and it was boiling. It was 90 degrees F which would be 32 Celsius in New Zealand. It felt good. After I got off the plane I was ready to be out of the plane. We walked out of the airport and my grandpa was waiting for my family and me. We got in his car and started  on the  3 hour drive  up to Big Bear. On the way we stopped at Costco which is like Moore Wilson in New Zealand .They are so big. They sell everything  like TVs and food and they have food when you come out if you want it. We drove a another half an hour and we were finally there. It was a relief that I was going to bed. That was my  first day in paradise.

BOOK GROUPS

For the book groups I am in the hatchet group and it was good. the thing that went well was that everyone listened to the one person that was talking and wanted to know what they were saying. also the thing that did not go well was that sometimes people forgot there book. I think I gained to read more slowly and to comprehend what I am reading.   

Hungry Caterpillar

When I was little I was given a caterpillar. I loved the book because I had the animal that went with it. I remember that I would be laying in my bed and dad and mom would come in and say good night. Every night one of them would always read it to me. Also I remember that I would always fall a sleep before I even got to hear the end.

 

I have to say when  I was young I loved it.

 

 

Junglerama

Over the holidays I did a lot of things. I am going to tell you 3 today.

I went to Junglerama. I went with some friends and we all played a good game of tag. Then we had lunch. After all of that we played another game but this time it was tackle tag which was fun!!






The next day we went to h2o extreme. When we were there we played the game that when you got on this mattress you had to stay on the longest.

The day after we went to go see the movie  Mr Peabody  and  Sherman. when we got into the theater we sat down and we waited about 5 minutes. then the movie started. I thought the movie was funny.  

 

Mission Fair

 

 

 

 

When the Mission Fair was about to start, I was so happy. I was so excited that I thought I was going to scream. I held it in. It all went down hill from there. Olivia went and had a 20 minute break. That was not as bad as when it got really busy. Only Jessica and I were in the room, and it got a little hard. When we look back on it, we thought that the best moment was when it was over. Overall, we earned $52.85.

The thing I thought we should change next year is to not do anything too girly and do a variety of stuff that both boys and girls will like.   :)

 



Cooking

 

 

Cooking is what I like to do a lot and when I do it it makes me feel safe and calm and collected. I cook about 2 times a week. 

Statistics

 

 

I need to improve on how to do that make a protractor - make a pie graph. what I have improved on is those stem and leaf graph. I thought that sitting and just reading the question out loud in my brain and then thinking I know this don't give up.

EOTC

 

I found that sailing was hard because you had to tack a lot.also you had to stir that was hard to.

 

I found that the Mt kau kau because you did not think about the hill you were to involved with talking with your friends.

 I expected when we walked into the on TV studio. I thought that the reporters would have words to read off but when we got there they said that only the presenters and the weather woman would have them so I panicked a little.

 

My most proudest moment was when I finished kau kau and we got to sit down. My favorite moment was when we got to the on TV studio because I was so excited.             



Swimming

 

I think in swimming I am good at it and would like to get better. I am in kayaking and it is fun because you get to capsize yourself .We will be working on to paddle and to capsize. I am trying to improve how to capsize. I really want to get out off the most lessons is that I want to learn how to paddle.
